Hats for Autumn

It's got a lot colder recently, which is good because it gives me an excuse to wear nice hats. I'm not really a hat person but I always think they look nice on other people. I've got a bowler hat and a fedora that was my Grandpa's, but I've only worn them a couple of times.

Alexa Chung has always been a big fashion influence for me and I love this burgundy fedora because the colour is perfect for Autumn. The hat on the right, that looks slightly similar, can be bought from Asos for £20.

I love bowler hats, because they're small and cute so don't stand out as much as wear a big fedora. The hat above is from H&M and is £8. The second hat is from Missguided and is currently on sale for £9, I really like pastels and the black sections make it more suitable for Winter.

I would never have enough confidence to wear a hat this big but I can still appreciate how lovely they look on other people like Vanessa Hudgens (left) and blogger Bonnie Barton (right). I like how relaxed they look and they're suitable for all year round. This hat on the left is £28 from Topshop and the one on the right is £15 from H&M.

I feel a bit more inspired to wear hats now.

Cat tights and velvet

It's my first outfit post in ages! I've sort of already done this outfit before on my Merry Christmas post but this time I'm wearing my creepers, leather jacket and cat tights.

I wanted to show off my new cat tights on my blog because I've wanted some forever so I thought why not turn it into an outfit post. My boyfriend bought me these tights and I want to wear them with everything. I thought they'd be really thin and rip easily but they are surprisingly thick. I'm not sure where they are from but I know you can find them on Amazon if you search 'cat tights'.

I've posted my leather jacket before but here it is again. I wish I could wear it every day but I tried that a few weeks ago and it was too cold so I had to put it away. Every time the sun is out I try and wear it then realise half way through the day that it is Winter. I got it in the Topshop sale on Boxing Day for £26.

I haven't worn my creepers in ages but I thought they went quite well with my cat tights. I stopped wearing them because I've started having driving lessons and driving in creepers is really difficult. But I might start wearing them again because they can look quite cute. I got them about 2 years ago from Underground and I think they were around £81.

I really should wear my bowler hat more because since I bought it in December I've only worn it three times. I'm not very confident with hats. It was £13 from Ark.

I also need to wear this green velvet dress more and I should wear it with jumpers to dress it down. I think I've worn it about four times but I really love it, mostly because it's furry and warm. I can't remember how much it was but it is by Hearts and Bows at Ark

I got this Marc Jacobs watch from my dad for my birthday.

I will put this on Lookbook when I have time but right now I need to get ready for work.

Merry Christmas!

I've been really busy the past few days with all the Christmas food and presents and cheese and food etc.. so I know it's a bit late!

In these photos I am wearing...
Grey cardigan - Hollister
Watch - Marc Jacobs
Bracelet - Pandora
Necklace - Birthday present
(I am also wearing black ankle boots from Matalan)

I love the velvet look for Winter because it's really warm and cozy. I don't really wear Hollister but someone bought me this cardigan a couple of years ago and I needed something to keep me warm, I like it because it's fitted so it doesn't drown me in fabric. I bought the hat and the dress about a week before Christmas when I was buying presents and realised that I didn't really have anything nice to wear on Christmas day. I've loved bowler hats for ages but never really had the confidence to wear them, so it was more of an impulse buy/mum pressured me to buy it.

I dyed my hair pink using Directions hair dye on my birthday (3 days before these photos were taken), and it's probably hard to tell. It fades so quickly, but that's probably a good thing because I can't turn up at work with pink hair. If I did want something more permanent though, I wouldn't use Directions again.

Hope everyone had a nice Christmas!

Lots of Love

(ps. Sorry about the rambly-ness of this post, I haven't blogged in a while and wanted to ramble)
