Rita Ora Rimmel Spring nail polishes

This Spring Rimmel released 12 new spring/summer shades with the help of Rita Ora.The pastel shades range from pink to blue (there's one called Porta Loo Blue so I assume there a festival theme going on), so they are perfect for Spring or Summer! Also, the polishes are part of the '60 seconds super shine' collection, which is great because I hate sitting about for half an hour waiting for nails to dry.

I bought the Sweet Retreat shade which is the pink one pictured above, I've been looking for a pastel pink polish for ages and this is perfect. It's slightly brighter than it looks in the bottle but I'd still call it pastel.

And Oragina, the orange one pictured above, this is one of my favourite polishes at the moment. I'm slightly obsessed with peachy pink colours this Summer.

These polishes don't seem to last a whole week and tend to chip a bit after about 4-5 days but for £2.99 from Boots you can't really complain. To get the a solid colour I had to apply 2 coats.

ps. what are your favourite summer shades?

Wedding outfit post

(all photos courtesy of George Swan)

Last Friday me and George went to a wedding and it was lovely. When we arrived at the reception we had afternoon tea with sandwiches and cake. Everyone had different vintage tea cups and plates which was really nice (mine had a pineapple on it).

Even though we've known about this wedding for months, I decided to buy my dress the day before in a panic. It's from a section of Outfit called Tenki and it was around £22, they don't have a very good website but you can find their dresses in Dorothy Perkins, Outfit, New Look and many more places. My mum bought me the necklace for my birthday and the shoes were £15 from the Dorothy Perkins section of outfit but they were in the sale and I can't find them on the website. The picture doesn't really show them properly but they are covered in silver glitter. I really want an excuse to wear them again.

So overall it was a lovely day and congratulations to Tim and Claire!

Summer Pastel Gingham

Hello!

I am wearing...

Pastel gingham dress - Oxfam charity shop in Hockley, Nottingham
Plum desert boots - Wild Clothing, Nottingham
My Neighbour Totoro necklace - My Etsy shop

I've had this dress ages and it's one of my favourites because it's pastel and has pockets, I love it when I find out clothes have pockets. I bought it for £9 from Oxfam. I buy a lot of stuff from charity shops now because I love how you can find something new and never worn but for less than half the original price. But I also like the vintage stuff they have because it's often a lot cheaper than vintage shops like Cow and Wild. And of course, it's always nice to help a charity.

I've also put this look on Lookbook if you want to give it a hype!

Mint and thigh high socks

So I was lying in bed on twitter and thought maybe I should do something productive like posting the look I've been meaning to do since last Wednesday, so here I am!

In these photos I am wearing a mint tank top from Topshop - I've really missed wearing it because you can only really wear it when the weather's nice, I love the pastel colour too. I bought it last year so they don't have it anymore, I tried to find it or something similar on the Topshop website but I couldn't find anything, they still have lots of other nice things though!

I am also wearing Levi's 505 cut offs from Cow vintage in Birmingham. I really need to get some new ones because I didn't try these on and they're massssssive, but they're okay with a belt.

It looks like I live in my black coverse by the look of my recent posts but it's only because I was riding my bike and you can't bike in creepers!

I love this hoodie, it's my boyfriends and should probably give it back but it's so nice! This is similar or it might be the same one.

I love it when the weather is warm enough to wear socks instead of tights, these are also from Topshop but you can buy plain thigh high socks from pretty much anywhere.

So that's what I wore last Wednesday! I need to go and get ready for college now. I'm hoping that it's warm outside but I'll probably layer up so I don't get cold.

Lots of Love
Sophie
